Compte Lab

The laboratory of Albert Compte at IDIBAPS focuses its research on the mechanisms of cortical networks that are responsible for cognitive processing, with a focus on working memory. We apply computational modeling techniques to interpret neural recordings in behaving animals from collaborating laboratories, and we investigate experimentally working memory function in humans using behavioral, EEG, fMRI and TMS methods. We are also studying patients with anti-NMDAR encephalitis, in order to identify the mechanistic role of the NMDA receptor in cognitive function.
