Postdoc in computational neuroscience

The group of Computational Neuroscience at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CRM), Barcelona is looking for a postdoctoral researcher. Research interests of the group include decision-making, perception, working memory, spatial memory, neural network models and developing new methods for analysis of behavioral and neural data. The candidate will work in the group of Alex Roxin, Klaus Wimmer and/or Alex Hyafil. The project will be defined in collaboration with the supervisor(s) and may include working with experimental data from external collaborators or collecting psychophysics/EEG data in the lab.

 Candidates should have a PhD in computational neuroscience or a related field, with their PhD obtained after 1/1/2017. Candidates from applied mathematics or physics are also welcome. Research experience outside of Catalonia is required.

postdoc on psychophysics and modelling of perceptual inference

A postdoc position is available under the supervision of Alexandre Hyafil in the group of Computational Neuroscience at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CRM), Barcelona, Spain (http://www.crm.cat/research-group/5/computational-neuroscience/). The project will combine modelling and psychophysics (possibly neuroimaging) to study the computational mechanisms underlying human perception. The candidate will benefit from the stimulating environment of Barcelona area in Theoretical and Systems Neuroscience.

Candidates should have a PhD in computational neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience or a related field. Prior experience with psychophysics, neuroimaging, machine learning and/or computational modelling will be valued.  Financial support is provided by the Spanish Ministry of Science. Initial appointment: two years.
